 he manor house is located in a beautiful natural site, right by the valley through which flows “the Coulonges”, a small stream that throws itself into the river Thouet. Below the manor is a pond that marks the entrance to the "Valley of Pressoir", a protected wildlife sanctuary, home to an amazing diversity of flora and fauna.
All along this deep valley, surmounted by rocky outcrops, a number of several kilometer-long paths have been created, enabling ramblers to discover this picturesque site.
It is possible to swim in the river Thouet at a place called the “Auberge de Pommiers”. Further upstream, walkers will find the waterfall of the Pommiers. There, the small stream falls into a natural pool formed by a rocky circus. The waterfall is especially impressive in the winter.
